LOTS of modern bought a comic shops inventory -wife mad...Updated 11/12/12

Ok.

In my travels I always keep an eye out for deals and try to stop at local comic shops as time permits just to see what i could find.

Driving back from NC the other day i saw two things and ended up buying them both.

The first was a flea market and from the road i saw several long boxes....had to stop.

 

The guy said he had a comic shop that closed a few years ago and this was what was left.

it was the end of the day and i offered him $200 for the 3 long boxes and 8 short boxes he had and he took it!

 

The other was an estate sale where the guy had quite a bit of stuff i have been looking for and i hit it for a bit too.

 

Long story short......wife said that either the pretty books go or she does.

After helping her pack her bags I thought better of the situation and we came to a compromise. I am whittling my collection down to a bare minumum of what i really want to collect and keep (which i have been meaning to do anyway, this just sped it up)

 

Therefore......i am going to be throwing alot of stuff up here, both stuff i bought recently and things that i have accumulated over the years, and figured i would put it all into one thread instead of separate batches.

It will be a mix of modern,copper and bronze age stuff mostly with some SA and GA thrown in as i decide whether or not i want to keep it.

Many slabs but most of it will be raw.

These will probably not be in a any particular grouping or order, but rather i will just grab a box and start going through it.

If it is anything other than NM then i will let you know in the posting, but most of it is at least 9.4 or better

 

Trades are always welcome if you like a bunch of stuff, but i am only really looking for GA stuff......pre-code horror.......MAD......anything by EC.....GA Archie......statues.......that kind of stuff
