Definitely a contender.

I lean more toward Mark Twain, Jack London, and Ray Bradbury...but that's just me.

Rafting down a river on Mars with a wolf

I'd read that.

Does it have girls in panties and half shirts getting tangled up in the garden hose and stuff?

So I'm making Crock Pot Pantry Raid Chicken right now.

Found a large open container of stewed tomatoes in the fridge that was at least two weeks old.

Smelled awful.

Used them anyway.

Because Norwegian.

Yup...tasted great. :) I think it's in my DNA.

Norwegians hang meat outside to rot for weeks and months. The process is considered "tenderization" because decomposition breaks down the fibers.

This is why during the zombie apocalypse, Norway (and probably Wisconsin) will not have a problem. Zombies will just be considered walking food storage.

 Another reason to hope I don't survive the initial onslaught
