If you want to have a label removed from the census, do you have to send the label in with the book or can you wait till you have several labels and mail them in?

Either is fine, but the book will only be removed from the Census when the label has been returned.

I returned a label on book I had pressed and resubbed on-site last year at Mega-con, but the old grade is still in the census. The company doing the pressing is always good about returning the labels so I'm guessing it just got lost in the process somewhere.

 

I understand that normally you don't remove a grade without the label, but this is a rare book and this particular copy is quite unique as it's the Western Publishing file copy with the big stamp on the front. So there shouldn't be any question it's the same book.

Normally they will be removed within a week or two, but it may seem longer as the census is only updated once a week.
