A new seller isn't going to just create a new account on ebay and list an item and the outcome scam some buyer. The way it works id the seller must ship the item and the funds will be held until the buyer receives and leaves feedback thus completing the transaction. Feel free to bid what you feel its worth and hope you win it. You cant get ripped off. You may be parting with your money for a period of time if its a scam, but you wont lose a dime.

Why then is the auction still up and running? Does the owner of the comic not give a damn about seeing his comic used in a scam?

???

he has already reported to eBay but you might not be familiar with how long it takes eBay to react to these type reports (shrug)
