JMHO...So please no flaming.

Now, it's almost an absolute certainty that Galactus and the Silver Surfer will be a major factor in the MCU in the years to come.

Furthermore, there are many of us who believe / speculate that Disney has plans to involve MORE than just (1) of Galactus Heralds in the MCU.

Ask yourself this.  Why should Disney bring just (1) of Galactus heralds to the big screen when there are so many outstanding / cool Heralds in the Marvel Universe???

In particular, the Silver Surfer (Fantastic Four #48), Firelord (Thor #225), and Terrax (FF #211) are currently the most likely candidates / heralds to be brought to the MCU.

Needless to say, of these (3) books I've mentioned, FF #211 is the bargain / lowest priced item in CGC 9.8.

Gotta get digging for that FF 211 now! $$$

Interesting to note that ASM #238 in 9.8 is rising. 2017 the highs were around $750. 7 of the last 8 sales have been over $1k with the last sale setting a mark of $1,260.

9.6s have been creeping up as well. Started the year around $230-50 and now they are going for $360-400.

Just shouting out to the community. I am very new here. Went to an estate sale last week and came out of it with two boxes of collectible comics as my first ever comic book purchase.

Have about half a dozen to a dozen that I need to send in for grading.  Started listing items on ebay before I knew what I had and got some bids before I could react. Marvel Secret Wars #8 is one of them. The other is Harbinger 0-7. I have two lots of Harbinger and with coupons / cards inside and the whole secret wars series. All the comics I picked up were in plastic and within boxes designed for comics. Age of the scotch tape on plastic and the neighborhood (bordering private golf club)  makes me think it was from a serious collector. I have all but two transformers comics and most of it appears to be NM or above in condition. Here is a link to secret wars:

Many many more items to list yet. Items to come (after grading) are GI Joe  22, Daredevil 181, Transformers 1 and The Incredible Hulk 340.

Please feel free to look at other items. All under ebay user: paper$chase

If you are new welcome, if not, this is a tread about "Comics heating up" not I'm a "lucky/stupid guy and I made a mistake and I'm selling my books way to low tread". Not to be rude but please. Now on another note boy did I find some great deals last weekend.:whatthe:

Has this book really shot up this much?  Color breaking to the right of Reed Richards cameo?  If so, that's outrageous.

All about selling at the right time I guess.

I've always liked the idea of bound library copies, but yikes!  Still though, I can see myself sitting down by the fireplace (pipe, slippers and all), a glass of ancient single malt and pouring through these.
