It's an interesting story in that book.  Princess Leia believes he's Boba Fett, so the confusion is intentional by the artist.

It's the first Planet Mandalore, first Mandalorians (non-Boba Fett), and Boba Fett does appear on a centerfold that shows all three surviving Mandalorians.

I know but it's been called Origin of Boba for years and people (including me until a year or so ago) have always thought it was him on the cover. That's the reason of the original price bump and the original iconic cover status.

All this Punisher talk on the media this last week , I am wondering if some of these will pick up.

:wishluck: I hope Marvel doesn't do a crazy thing and retire the Punisher.

s-l400-14.jpg

had a conversation last weekend at the LCS about that, simply said that it was up for discussion of retirement in that the Punisher may be just a "supporting" character? seemingly I don't see too much a difference in a sonic blast and a "bullet" when it comes to a paper drawing. still would translate in my brain same type interpretation

lol it's homeostasis on paper :sumo: give me a change of magazine and light them up!

8.5 cgc graded cerebus 1 sold for 5500 on ebay 1/9/21.

All the other copies have been bought off ebay. Definitely heating up

Not sure I am doing it right, but it looks like the page source says the sale was for $3000...

Still a strong sale, and no other copies available...

No you are correct,  I didn't know it was a best offer.

How do you check the price using page source?

Yes 3000 is still an great price.... definitely heating up. Only a 9.4 is now available online.... every other real copy is gone

You go to original listing

Press both control and "u" at the same time

Then use the "find" search in your browser menu when the new page opens

Than type in taxex

And it'll tell you the best offer....

So I was thinking of sending my SW 1s into CGC because even mid-grade ones seem to do well in a slab and I think i have some around 8.5 - 9.0 and then I see this, which I'd think would come back as a 7.0 from CGC, WTF?:

a little better, but over $300!!!:

$207 (shipped) for a 9.0: https://www.ebay.com/itm/STAR-WARS-1-CGC-9-0-1977-MARVEL-COMICS-FIRST-PRINTING-A-NEW-HOPE-NO-RESERVE/383799118618?hash=item595c35cb1a:g:zTMAAOSw6Hdfpa0B

Neither of the two raws is going to be a 9.0, even with a press...

The CGC 9.0 was back in Nov. Star Wars stuff has gone berserker mode since then. The other 2 raws are more recent.

Somebody just popped an $1,100 BIN on a 5.0 OW-W ASM 129.

Yesterday I saw a $2,700+ buy on an 8.5.

Just not slowing down.

(worship)

And just a few hours later a 7.0 sells for $1300 at auction.

Watching the CLINK numbers, and pretty healthy.

9.8 Gwen Stacy clone first appearance is $1,000 over GPA.
