Golden age stories that reference the publisher!

So, being a reader of comics, I've noticed quite a few times in MLJ stories that the publisher, comic book title, penciller, artist, etc. gets mentioned in the story itself. Sometimes it's done subliminally, other times it's part of the story itself!

I will give you subtle examples and blatant ones from MLJ - Publishers of Pep, Blue Ribbon, Jackpot, Shield-Wizard, Zip, Top-Notch, Black Hood and Hangman Comics.

PLEASE submit some from your publishers!

Example #1 - Radio contest sponsored by "MLJ" from "ZIP Advertising"
