Please help grade this Conan #1

Good morning fellow forumites! I'd like your assistance in grading this Conan #1. Please note the half rusted lower staple, foreign substance on the top back cover and little rips along the left side of the back cover. Thank for your help!

I would say VF- but the light rust and goo on the back would pull it down to the F+/FVF range for me. I'm not sure how CGC would punish such things...

 

Somewhere between a 6.5 and 7.5.

i would agree that it would be a 7 besides the creases, I wouldnt complain with a 6.8-6.9

I dunno... crease seems real light to me. I'd say 6.5.

The mentioned flaws, plus what can be seen on the scan leads me to a 6.0 no higher. It has too much overall damage for a 7.0 or better in my humble opinion. The BRC kills it from the 7.0 grading area.

I agree. I have sent many books to be CGC graded, and the bottom right hand corner crease (in addition to other minor defects) will drop this book to a 5.5. If it was a golden age book, then it could have received a 6.0.
