Has anyone else experienced puddling with the current version of the slab? My book is the only one I've seen that has this problem so far. While I'm not happy about my book, I hope it doesn't show up in others. I would like to see the new slab succeed. You can see my book here -

I'm pretty sure he's talking about a new new slab.

Is this an example of what this puddling can do to a book? Or is this something else entirely? This is clearly not part of the new slab situation and I think is relevant to the discussion. This is all *NEW* to me since I've been out of pocket here since 2013. I am aware puddling has been around since the beginning (remember seeing a few in my collection).

I'm pretty sure he has a better understanding of what his books look like than me or you....elaborate?

Hi everyone,

I recently received a fairly expensive book from ebay (2nd generation holder) and noticed puddling on the back.  Has it ever been determined if this causes any damage to the book over time?

Thanks,

Jeff

The puddling will leave a slight indentation in the book over time.
