Super DC Giant S-17 (Love 1970)

I've also got S-21, (Love 1971)

I have both. Dupes of the one you posted. Still a couple of tough books. I see less of those than DC super special 5.

Wrong thread.

That one goes in the "Post a picture of something that no other board member wants" thread.

Hot Stuf' #8, Sal Quartuccio, 1974 (Neal Adams cover art)

HotStuf8-1.jpg

The best thing about this cover is that the next 10 seconds literally speak for themselves. I have this whole mental image of how the guy claws everyone in the cell and they are all panicking to get out.

That's good art! When a story emerges from just looking at the cover you know you have something. :whee:

This is a GREAT thread! :D

I win. Proof of Marvel's 35 cent variant price strategy, with confirmation of one being Memphis.

Oh, WOW! Signed by Sol Brodsky, no less!

This is awesome, Donut!

Mine is probably this one: original 1957 Shonen supplement with the first edition of the Astro Boy story "Duel on the Alps" (almost all the Astro Boy stories were later redrawn or entirely reworked by Tezuka – and obviously the Dark Horse US edition of Astro includes the rewritten/redrawn version, which in this case is pretty different). Pocket sized.

George Perez Accent on the first E. This book was printed in the mid 1970's and due to flooding destroying most of the copies waiting to be distributed, only 400-500 copies exist. It took me over 25 years to find the first one and I've been lucky enough to find two others since then.

I didn't even know this existed until a few years ago. John Byrne portfolio from the early 1970's, done as a way to pitch concepts to Marvel and DC. Limited to 100 sets.
