Attached is a sample Jumbo showing it. On the plus side, in recent threads here on the boards others have told of finding them out in the wild in dealer inventories -- keep an eye out for the sharp checkmarks! Pedigree aside tho, that is a SWEET Strange Adventures 21! What a great photo. I am always amazed what people come up with on the boards. So, Cosmic Aeroplane was a head shop? I miss head shops... So, Cosmic Aeroplane was a head shop? I miss head shops... Wish I could take credit! But this is just a google search -- recently there was an article or two about "what ever happened to Cosmic Aeroplane?" in that area's local news, with various great vintage pics etc. I am presuming, based on the various store incarnations I saw, that this must be the original setting. It IS a great photo! Edit to add from the photo description -- so I thought the store was from a bit before '74, but still, this may be the original location: photo courtesy Mike Evans Cosmic Aeroplane at 366 S. West Temple location. The store was here from 1974-1976. Edited March 15, 2019 by originalisbest Additional info

Popular Post VAZ
OO. Very small piece of the back cover chipped off and I reattached it. Kind of wish I hadn't. No other resto. Really presents like a 9.0. Super sharp. Edited March 16, 2019 by VAZ badback83, Raze, comicnoir and 2 others

Yours at least is on the back cover and still is a beautiful book, congrats! VAZ

The name I always associate with the Cosmic Aeroplane collection is Ken Sanders. He is a rare book dealer from there and must have had some connection to the store. There is a link to a blog post by or about him to the side of the article but no mention of him in the story. originalisbest

It could be removed knowing the grade may drop and get into a universal. Regardless of the purple, it is an awesome copy. Don't fret about it at all. Popular Post Hap Hazard
I figured this would be ok to show here, I didn't buy a new pre-code book but I did buy a 8 page original art pre-code story. Myron Fass's Who Inherits the Earth? The rats do of course, it is a pre-code story by the way from Tales of Horror # 4. The title stat is missing getting one made for the art. Popular Post VAZ
OO. If you look closely there's a subscription crease up and down a little off center to the right. It got dinged bad for it. Really sharp and rich colors. Looks like it's off the newsstand. Presents like a 8.5. There was a 1.5 - 1.8 can't remember exactly that sold on CC recently for about $2600+. I was watching it 'cause my copy was about the same grade. Bought it in '73 for 2 bucks. originalisbest
