Popular Post fifties Posted February 27, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted February 27, 2020 (edited) The ACG "horror" titles, Adventures into the Unknown, Forbidden Worlds, Out of the Night, and Skeleton Hand for the most part each had 3 happy ending stories, and one in the true horror genre. Bought at reasonable prices, they are good pickups. If you can ever find a copy of "The Clutching Hand", grab it. ACG only produced one issue, prolly because it started with an August 1954 cover date, and the CCA was right around the corner. You'll also note that they didn't include their logo on the cover. I know from your posts that you very much value the content of these books and I have come to trust your opinion! I love Maneely’s work, however I don’t think this cover is one of his best by a long shot. The Dino’s (T Rex?) arms are just all wrong. They seem twisted into a forced perspective. My No argument that it's not one of Joe's best cover renditions, and the Dino limbs look weird, but actually that's what I like about it, and the color.
