bc
I think I found the cover model for TTA 1..... Just had a massive downpour here and noticed this big old snapping turtle surfing down the driveway. Probably a little over 2 1/2 feet from snout to tail, tried to get a better close up but it started snapping (the neck was a bit longer than I expected!). Since I value my fingers & toes, I just let it cruise on through. The thing moved surprisingly fast, it covered the 200' to the creek in a few minutes. porcupine48, shiverbones, MrBedrock and 1 other

mysterio
Should have a handful of books in the mail here in the next week or so. They’re pretty nice. bc

KirbyJack
One of the very first OA pages I ever saw was a splash from this issue. I think of it every time I see Sserpo!

Popular Post southern cross
I haven't gotten around to getting this book graded as I know it would get slammed with the small tear at the bottom. This cover is one of many favorites for me. TheWatcher, Mucheee1, mysterio and 3 others

Getoutandstayout
I thought I would mention that this edition of Overstreet Price Guide (#10) has a significant section in it of the history of Atlas Comics and its implosion (featuring all the pre-hero titles). It was very interesting reading. I had this guide once, years ago, and lost it. It took me forever to find which one exactly had this story (they don't exactly advertise the write-ups in them). This guide should be readily available on eBay. Edited July 17, 2019 by Getoutandstayout bc

This is the one that really got me addicted. I will caution that several of the charts showing what issue is produced by month do have errors. I created my own spreadsheet based on this data and had to correct it over time. Hey @KirbyJack - is there much difference between these two write-ups? -bc
