I know we've had this conversation before, but it's highly entertaining. Me and some of the fellas got into a debate a while back in the SA threads and was thinking about it today.

 

A simpler version of the conversation would be for YOU to identify the TOP FIVE keys according to YOU by ERA.

 

So, what are the TOP FIVE keys from each era YOU would want in YOUR collection?

(2) Detective Comics 27 : obvious pt 2

(3) Famous Funnies: A Carnival of Comics : I'd love to own this piece of history

(4) Captain America Comics 1 : this covers my desire to have a WWII book in my collection, as well as Caps 1st appearance!

(5) Marvel Comics 1: Know it's lost some luster in the last few decades, but it's always been a magical book to me.

(1) Amazing Fantasy 15 : Obvious.

(2) Fantastic Four 1 : The other part of Marvel to me

(3) Showcase 4 : I know it's an arbitrary start to the Silver Age, but its the Flash!

(4) Showcase 22: Green Lantern's my #1 guy, so this has to be on the list

(5) Brave & the Bold 28 : 1st SA super team, sparked the FF

(1) Green Lantern #76 : Most iconic cover of the bronze age

(2) Giant Sized X-men #1: the other icon to start off the bronze

(3) Cerebus # 1: just to keep this from being a cape-fest

(4) Incredible Hulk #181: 1st Wolverine

(5) Amazing Spider-Man #122 : Always loved it more than 121, and it'd be the one I wanted most

(1) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 (Mirage 1984)

(2) G I Joe #1 : This title got me collecting when I was a kid, so it will always be a key to me

(3) Albedo Anthropomorphics #2: 1st Yusagi Yojimbo, one of my favorite characters in comcs

(4) Transformers #1: The other title that got me collecting as a kid.

(5) New Mutants 98 (I love deadpool, but dont love Liefeld so Im always torn)
