The Loeb/Lee Batman is just ok so far. Maybe it will turn out to be going somewhere, but jeez we're a third of the way into the run already, and so far the story is all build up, little pay-off.

 

I'll second the Ultimates recommendation.

 

The post-Kevin Smith Green Arrow is fun-- lots of Silver/Bronze Age allusions. But it's about to change scripters again.

 

For non-super heroes, Y the Last Man and 100 Bullets (I'm a late convert there).

As far as Marvel goes:

The Ultimates is a great title, ASM is still pretty good too and Daredevil has been a good read over the past 12 months. Also check out Alias.

As guilty pleasures go, I'm not sure that you can beat Exiles. It's like a cheesy romance book wrapped in a What If-esque bloodbath! Booya! One of the original remaining members DIES this Wednesday!
