This little baby landed today at my hacienda!  For those not familiar with Jim Thompson’s writing, it’s not for everyone (also, not for me).  But this cover is pretty awesome and it’s been tough to find in nice shape without breaking the bank.

In today.  I've wanted to get a 10c Dell for a while to have an example in my collection, and the Heinlein was an obvious choice for me; I think it's the only SF title in the series.  It's also probably the easiest to find... although that's relative.  Also, for fun, the original pulp appearance of the the story for comparison:

The Dell 10-centers I've encountered the most (outside of eBay) are: the first two, Trumpets West and Rain, then Lamp of God and South of Cancer. Door to Death is pretty easy as well. Some of the others, I've never seen outside of a dedicated show for pulps and paperbacks. 

Which early Dell F-series have you targeted, if any? Madball is a no-brainer for me, and I also like the cover art to Down, Bold Rider, Fever Heat, Crooked City... and probably many others I'm not recalling at this point. Of the higher numbers, Invasion of the Body Snatchers is definitely a classic.

I haven't really targeted any of the Dells, other than my normal quest for John D. MacDonald 1st editions.  On most paperbacks I'm all about targets of opportunity, not tracking down specifics.

Pretty much where i'm at, especially picking up lots that have a few I want for the permanent collection and selling off what I can live without. I'd call it a targeted accumulation. Here's a new pickup you may appreciate.

Besides the 2 above, a couple more arrived in yesterdays mail. Some scarce JD, another minty Dell, another pulpy Avon classic and a Peeping Tom Pocket Book - pretty racy for a Pocket.
