Finally got some mail in today. 

@OtherEric your undercopy of the 10/53 Astounding arrived safe & sound and beat some other books by weeks  Great page quality too! Thanks man! I'm going to post this in the pulps as well

A Jack Woodford Avon digest with a nice lingerie cover

What a sweet set of digests that is!!  My first Quarter Book was Leg Art Virgin and I was just looking at my copy the other day.  Still holds up.  But Tempted is my favorite of that bunch!

Yeah, "Leg Art" has a corner crease but it's very nice and bright overall for a white cover book - it'll do but it's a cover i'd upgrade if a perfect one came around. "Tempted" is glowing and a great composition but "Three Loose Ladies", in hand is the stunner. The browns are eye popping in person, and browns don't usually do that.

Glad you're happy with the book!  It's always nice to connect a book with somebody who will properly appreciate it.  I just figured out that this is actually Freas's first cover for Astounding; in addition to being a classic.

Now you're making me wish I had taken a picture showing the relative page color of the books when I had both of them.  I decided I liked how the other copy presented somewhat better, and the page quality certainly wasn't bad... but believe me, it was not easy deciding which copy I wanted to keep.

I've come to appreciate color strike and page quality a lot more since joining these boards but I wouldn't worry, your top copy is killer. I'm just happy to have one

A couple of arrivals today. Another hard boiled Eton, unread with blazing colors

And an unread Avon bondage cover classic. It's a little off register, so has a 3d effect, but the lamination and spine are like it was printed yesterday

Both great books and I don't think I've ever seen an off register paperback cover before.

 I don't know the last time I saw one, and these are so much smaller than comic books so I guess the quality control had to be a lot higher, because you see them somewhat frequently on GA comics. It's an oddball but pretty stunning in hand. Looking at the photo is a little more dizzying to my eye.

Another one rolled in from the backlog. I think this Avon is even harder to find uncreased than the Pop Lib "Overboard". I've pretty much given up on finding one so grabbed this  respectable one at a reasonable price. It's my favorite early Lovecraft PB, (and a swipe from Finlays July 1939 Weird Tales cover).

And this incredibly awesome resource by Gary Lovisi!  Paging through it feels a bit like it did when I was a kid and paging through the 8th Overstreet and looking at the color section of books!  I'll spend a bit more time with it but initially I was excited to see how many of the books I already have.  Turns out- not many!!  A lot of cool examples to page through.  Thanks to Gary for putting this together!

I really do need to track down the two Bart House Lovecraft paperbacks one of these years.  I had never noticed that swipe before, even though I have both books!
