You've been busy my friend (thumbsu I don't collect the edgier sleaze but I know "Orgy of the Dead" and "The Day the Universe Came" are two of the most sought after of that ilk and command buckos. The Maguire collection is moving along nicely, and you've added to your Ray Johnson collection with that copy of the wonderfully pulpy looking "The Chinese Parrot "

I've been on a Bonfils kick lately.  The Greenleaf books are definitely adult material but they are far from the dark end of the pool (or at least that's what I keep telling myself to validate collecting them).

I've purchased a ridiculous number of Ace Doubles, Avons, etc. and now I'm in the process of making new bookshelves to increase storage.  First world problems.  :insane:

The Frazetta Ace's were too new for me to collect in the 80's but i'll pick them up now. The Damon Knight is signed. I've always loved the vintage naughties on that Pop. I'll take Maguire on a Lion :cloud9: Really liking Day Keene, I read "Homicidal Lady" in one sitting. Guess who drew "Charlie Chan"? lol

You should re-post these. I can't remember what the "vintage naughties" look like. lol

Also, it's good to have another Keene to look forward to.

Nice pickups. I think I have those 2 John D's.

I'm not going to re-post all of those because, hopefully, they'll re-appear like all the pics before them did today. I guess they're doing the updates in waves and my post was an inbetweener. Yesterday it was the only one that had pictures.

I will re-post the vintage naughties though, just because they're fun :luhv:

just checked my copy of Werewolf and cover is credited to William Randolph. any info?

It's a classic (that I still need to get)

Likely a mis-spell for William "Bill" Randall (and maybe the copy writer did have the publisher on the brain). Here's a credited cover around this same short time when Avon credited a bunch of covers.

He's in the Ray Johnson style but flatter and the shading and faces are different. He definitely did a bunch for Avon. Like Ray he's got some mag credits here:

I agree that earlier JD is hard to beat: I'm an April Evil fan. & am wondering if 'Werewolf of Paris' cov could be another RSJ...

It would be hard for me to pick a favorite MacDonald, but April Evil would definitely be on the short list. Love the Maguire cover too.
