Gorgeous books, SA!  I'm pretty sure I have the Monarchs but not the Ace.  Very cool!! 

I have several excellent books on the way including a very cool Maguire cover.  In the meantime, these are the latest arrivals.  First up, an excellent Fixler cover from the Brandon House run.  Still figuring out how to tell first printings from second printings (without looking at the interior statement page).

Followed by a cool title that I picked up from Chris Boyko and assume is based on the memoirs of @Pat Calhoun in his younger days.

And last, a gorgeous cover on this copy of The Sergeant.  I like it!!

I know this isn't technically the place for wants but it's a fairly specialized thread so i'll risk getting "mod zapped" I'm looking for a copy of this with a decent front cover. Will pony up cash, cash/trade, straight trade for one (I have a lot of tough stuff) It's likely the rarest and most valuable Ray Johnson cover, the 1st US pb of Casino Royale (imagine the gall of re-naming a James Bond novel!). Been looking for a while and only a couple of rags for sale in the last year. If you know anyone who has one who's thinking of letting go. Thanks.

I read it a long time ago and then lost my copy in a move (still never quite understood how that happened).  I've been looking for a nice copy and the right price showed up, so...  And I'm slowly putting together a little set of mapbacks.

I received these two books in the mail this weekend. My new mix sci-fi/mystery. One of these books I have been searching for off and on for quite a while, the other the Dain Curse by Dashiell Hammett.

@Pat Calhoun shared  his copy of An Earthman on Venus with me a few years ago. Such a great cover, it's been there nibbling at the edge of my consciousness ever since. But no more.

He's a good man that Pat, and congrats, it's a cornerstone book in any sci fi pb collection

A couple of Bantam paperbacks with cover art by the incomparable James Bama:

 

 

The Frankenstein that Bama painted for that Bantam cover is the best I've ever seen. It's even better than this one that he painted which eventually became box art on the Aurora Gigantic Frankenstein kit:

Pretty spot on description of a sweet cover. Looks DeSoto-ish. I've been on the fence a dozen times about diving back into mags but k   e      e     p p  u   l   l    i    n   g back lol!  I did flip a Vampire Tales #2 for about a 4 bagger profit last year but had a hard time letting it go and fear re-aquiring Vampi's etc!  I know you're pretty deep into that stuff.

@moonpool Great bunch of books!  House of Fury is an awesome Maguire cover on the reprinting of Reform School Girls.  Tough in nice shape!
