Nice! Since 'Japed' was first Emsh cover for Ace, let's pair it with Ed Valigursky's first for them - the two artists that back-to-back helped make the Ace D's the best SF PB series ever. & appropriate to use a DAW anthology as today is his birthday.

One of the better covers in the Ace Double run. Here's another from Emsh for a book by the prolific Andre Norton.

Whoa, fascinating. When did this come out? That is very, very reminiscent of Gold Key Magnus cover art, right down to the color scheme of that fellow's outfit.

Thought I would post a few Ace books with cover art by Ed Valigursky. Valigursky was noted for covers with Robots, space ships along his cover art for pulp magazines Amazing Stories and Fantastic.

Newest acquisition.. Bantam 716 in dust jacket, which is the last dust jacket in the Bantam series. This one and Cannery Row are my 2 favorite dj covers. Hard one to find, unlike the earlier (sub 200) dust jackets. Harry Schaare art.

That's one I've not seen before, Pat. Do you think that face is modeled on Elizabeth Taylor?

one of the many great things about PB-world is that it's not so much about chasing keys. That said, here are a few...
