Jones Sandman needs to move up a rung as does Bachalo Death.

Considering I own examples of both, I wonder what other boardies think about it. The Death page was bought several years ago, but the Jones page is recent and it wasn't over the 10K.

If you're Jones piece is an A-Level example, then consider yourself fortunate

I believe Mignola Hellboy also could be in a higher tier... considering not a lot of truly A-pages come to market, B-pages, or A- pages have been selling around the $12K mark for almost 18 months now.

Last month a panel page from Almost Colossus went for $15,535.00 and in 2017 quite a few sold between $10K and $14K

Chris Ware JIMMY CORRIGAN pages are now firmly $20-30K.

Best available Daniel Clowes pages are in the $5-10K range. This would not include his top work, which he's holding, and would surely be higher if he were to start selling.

Crumb pages could be anywhere, depending on the work and the era, but suffice to say, he belongs somewhere on this list.

Well, it's already time for another update. Talked to a trusted confidant in the know (VERY MUCH in the know...hint, hint) this weekend about Ware and Clowes. The best JIMMY pages are now $40K+. The best Clowes pages are now $10K-20K.

Multiple instances for each, not just individual outlier sales. Some of which I can also (sadly) confirm from first-hand experience.

Whether this holds or not, remains to be seen. For now, my condolences to anyone looking for their example. It's really gotten rough out there.

Gah, I met Chris Ware at SDCC back in 1998. It was great, no line or anything, just walked right up and met him and chatted with him. I bought a print which was unfortunately later destroyed at my parents' house (long story) but I remember he had some originals there. I didn't even bother asking how much they were, because at 21 years old I'm sure I wouldn't have had enough. But now I am so curious about how much they possibly could have been back then, compared to now. Yikes.

I think Wrightson prices have increased since he passed away.  Seems that B-Level Frankenstein plates are now $40-60k and A-level are definitely in that top tier/ 6 figure range.

Agree with this.  For A level Frankenstein Plates, it is over 60K.

TBH comparing panel pages to frankenstein plates is deeply flawed in the first place since they are single images; effectively splash pages.

If this was a splash page list, they'd belong.

The list is a resource.  It doesn't have to be perfect in it's construction.  Everyone understands the nature of the Frankenstein plates, that they are somewhat unique and separate from panel pages, but so what?  It's just another bit of info for people to consider in this hobby.

Agreed. The 300 pages are basically all splashes too.  The Frankenstein Plates are pages from a book.  The 300 "pages/splashes" are also pages from a book.  And since there are no multi-panel pages of either Frankenstein and 300, the valuations are relevant.  In other words there are only splashes, so one knows what an A level vs. a B level comp is when we're talking about these.
