I'm curious as to how many black ashcan #3 there are recorded and how many blue and red darker image test prints. As far as I am able to ascertain there are 2 reds out there in the wild, 6 blues and 5 black #3.... is this correct? Does the census here actually reflect properly on what people collecting these have in inventory? I've tried to reach out to the #1 census holder here, but no response I can't speak to the DI test prints since it was never my cup of tea, but I think you're right about the Black #3 - 5 recorded copies. I've kept a spreadsheet to log every time I've seen a unique Maxx ashcan (all colors) over the last 10 years or so and that's the count I have. The numbers (and CGC grades) are: 2 (9.2), 7 (9.4), 10 (7.5), 13 (8.5) and 16 (ungraded - not on the census). There's a rumored sixth one - Grails here on the forum, in another dead thread, swore up and down he knew a guy in Nevada who had one, but was denied requests for a photo or scan, so there's no proof.
