That was one of my favorite stories as a child and captured my imagination even later as I was able to distinguish the differences between Marvel and DC.

CGC could make MORE money if they would grade treasuries I don't understand it.....

I doubt the CGC would grade and encapsulate Treasury Sized Editions... but one could dream!

I've always loved the Treasuries... they were incredible gateways into comics!

This looks like it would be a good read. I'm very curious to see how Spider-man is supposed to contend with someone at Superman's level. I've seen Spidey take out the Juggernaut (ASM #230) so it IS possible I suppose. Good luck web head, you'll need it!

If I remember correctly, there's one battle scene where Superman had to hold back when he throws a punch... otherwise he would have taken off Pete's head.

 

In the follow-up (where they battle Dr. Doom and the Parasite), Supes battles the Hulk, and he stands toe-to-toe with the Green Behemoth... and you know there are very few heroes that can withstand the onslaught of the Hulk.

 

Supes is the Man!
