He works in the saddle and he sleeps in the canyons, waiting for summer, his pastures to change. And as the moon rises he sits by his fire, thinking about women and glasses of beer. And closing his eyes as the doggies retire, he sings out a song which is soft but it's clear as if maybe someone could hear... Goodnight you moon light ladies, rock-a-bye sweet baby James. The Lou Zansky Western Trails is looking real nice, that's a tough book, and the Kamen Firehair is terrific. It's been my privilege to be a steward for this incredible little slice of comic history. I pledged I wouldn't break it up, and I've kept that pledge. They are now in other, capable hands, where hopefully they will remain intact for future generations to enjoy. The Fawcett Golden Age of Romance, momentos of the Greatest Generation. I watched this film a couple of years ago and it's actually pretty good. Easily the best of the Kettle films, imo, although that's not saying all that much. Most of them verge on the unwatchable. Has a Christmas scene, which may be why TCM is showing it now. I don't recall seeing AK in it. Might be worth rewatching it just to see if I can spot her.
