No actual showing of a comic but I was watching an episode of Adam-12 from 1975 where this guy's talking to Reed & Milloy about his neighbor taking all of his comics & how hard it was to find 1st edition Superman which he said cost 100 dollars lol. He went on to mention difficulty of finding 1st ed green lantern, cap marvel, etc etc. Anyhow just thought it was noteworthy

was recently watching some old Monty Python when I saw this from the sketch "the Boring life of Stock trader" - DC book but not familiar with it (possibly they added to the cover to hide the original title).

Looks like Captain Action #5.

I actually know nothing of the comic, I just did a reverse google image search, which returned some Captain Action links.  I then opened up my CLZ app (or look in mycomicshop) and looked at the Captain Action covers (there are only 5) :)

Captain Action (1968 DC National) 5

cool -- I figured it had to be a real book with the DC logo on it.

They then showed some interior panels which seemed real but also altered.... not sure if the same comic book--

confused -- and maybe a ROM expert should chime in here but is that this issue with a Jan 83 cover date?

i can't quite place the Thor issue which is really annoying me. I'm guessing that they just threw a bunch of issues in the rack without any amount of continuity.

Looks like the Thor above Rom is this one, dated February 83:

Thor #328

...but above that is Blade Runner 1 (October 82), and in the next column over it looks like Thor 372 (October 86).  According to IMDB filming was done 6 August 1986 - 8 November 1986, so that would make sense.  Looks like just random early-mid 80s issues were used.
