Would you happen to have an updated screenshot? Its not visible anymore :(

I saw that episode more than once but I always missed the beginning where I guess they showed the book. Yeah the lady kept mentioning "first edition spider-man" or something to that effect.

The screenshot by @kav on page 4 from "naked city" is stunning :whatthe:

If dem boys only knew the fortunes they had behind them! These high quality super man screenshots from the 50's are eye candy

Sorry I am not on the boards much anymore.  I don't have what I originally posted but I went to dailymotion to watch the episode and did a quick capture of the books.  They are inverted because that is the way it shows when playing.

Some comics in the trailer that Brad Pitt's character lives in behind the Van Nuys Drive In theater in the movie Once Upon a TIme In Hollywood

I think that is Kid Colt outlaw #134 and not sure of the Sgt Fury issue

I think that's Sgt. Fury #66.

from the Tracy Morgan show "The last OG" season 3 episode 8-- though I think this is a made up book (didn't look for it) because the "superhero" (Black Bobcat) is said to sleep 20 hours a day and be able to hear noises in pornos (supersonic porno powers). I don't know-- it is part of the show. The other odd part is he is seeing this book at a traditional NYC news stand.

oh--- and there is some art where his mom's boyfriend painted a version of the Black Bobcat as Tracy Morgan's character. Got me thinking harder about it--- could not find anything about this character at all so must just be for the show. But those other books look real-- can anyone identify them? Also-- can you still buy comic books on a new stand in NYC?

Any ideas what the other book Richard Gere is holding behind the Silver Surfer 1? That's definitely not the back over to the SS 1

 I believe it's a D.C. Comic from February 1973. I've found it on:

Detective 432

Superman 261

Hoyse of Secrets 105

And which Frazetta book is that on the rack alongside the SF mags? I don't believe it's one of the 5 book series due to the font size and positioning of the text on the word "THE"

In the Lost Boys, they walk through a dimly-lit but well-stocked comic store. Good luck identifying them all :)

Yeah who knows.  I do see a Man-Thing #1

Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying-the book in the pic, the back cover, is a different book than the silver surfer that you see the front cover of.

The comment asking about the book on the racks.  Not sure how we’d know a common book by back cover unless by a reflection in the reader’s eye(or parabolic mirror or such).
