My research into the T&P stamp numbering did show that Marvel and DC did not correlate exactly, so I'm not surprised - there tended to be a two month cover date gap:

This is the Adventures Into The unknown (#152) that appears in the 3rd picture before being tidied out of shot subsequently & it's possibly the oldest on screen with a cover date of Oct/Nov 1964

Here is the shop details, on the corner of Pond Street and The Southend Road in Hampstead which has a connection to George Orwell as it turns out:

In "The Queen's Gambit" mini-series they slavishly re-created many settings from the 60s and I was happy to see a spinner rack in the drugstore where the main character discovers chess magazines.  Imagine my disgust when, on pausing and rewinding in expectation of some Silver Age goodness, they had populated the rack with books that couldn't possibly have been around in that period (I recall an Avengers cover with an arrow in the letter "A" that debuted in 1972 for one).  At first I thought that they might not want to shell out for the pricier books or have them ruined on set, but a simpler solution would have been to find some covers on the internet, make color copies and drape them onto any issues they wanted.  My wife of course commented that only a nut like me would notice such a thing.

In theory, although not always in practice, the copies in the film photo should have 9d T&P price stamps on them. I can't quite see them though...

Avengers #18 looks like the only one where it would be possible to see the stamp (10d). This should be above Hawkeye's head where there is a round mirror(?) and arrow going through, looks like there may be something there but my eyes/computer not good enough to say for certain.

Only ever saw spinner racks when I was in the third form.

Ironically perhaps, the two discernable Marvels, Strange Tales #135 (August 1965 cover date) and The Avengers #18 (July 1965), are both cents only produced issues and also the issues immediately prior to the next issue in the title which was made as a pence issue:

Very cool, thanks again @David Buck

10d  on the Avengers - you'll see it when you watch it on TV - it's in the same place as the various copies on ebay

I don't recall any if I'm brutally honest Gary. The comics I bought as a kid always seemed to be on shelves inside the shop.

Finding one of those old T&P racks now would be a thing wouldn't it. Cor, I'd love that.

Great, thanks again David - I'll be watching to see if I can snag a better look / image...

The Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen on the rack in the photo is No 84 cover dated April 1965. I was only flicking through that issue a few weeks ago whilst sorting my Lois Lanes (as you do).

If the film was a Childrens Film Foundation production then the chances are I would have watched it at the local flea pit on a saturday afternoon (after first visiting the market to get my second hand comic fix). Sometimes I'd have to walk home from the Cinema having spent my busfare on something like Amazing Spider-man No 33.

Easy to make out Beagle Boys #46, but not sure of what’s under his left hand or on the floor just behind him.

Have a more better look:
