THE FLASH To Introduce Another Justice League Member

the-flash-justice-league-217197-640x320.jpg

Actor Carlos Valdez spoke at CW's Fan Feast Q&A after the midseason finale, and he let fans know that another former member of the Justice League and Birds of Prey will be joining the show (via CBR).

“There’s gonna be a new visitor to our world named Gypsy. DC Comics fans will be familiar with Gypsy. She’s gonna be coming into our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her.”

Gypsy, who's real name is Cindy Reynolds was actually introduced in the same book that Vibe and Steel were (Justice League of America Annual #2), and all three were created by Gerry Conway and Chuck Patton. She was part of the Justice League during a time of transition, as the League was tasked with getting younger. Even though that didn't really pan out all three characters have managed to stick around in some form or another.

Gypsy, Vibe, Vixen- from DC's rich history, why are they taking all these characters from (IIRC) the worst version of the JLA that no one cared about? There was a reason that book got cancelled.

Don't you recall that they originally wanted to use Ted Kord for Arrow instead of Ray Palmer? The answer given at that time was that they had big screen plans for Ted, whereas they didn't necessarily have any immediate plans for Ray.

They're probably using characters that won't be an issue with whatever plans they have in other media.

I thought the same exact thing, as it has been pointed out before in articles if a given media path has a production in the works the others are put on hold.

Right now, they could pull off easily a different phase of the JLA and it would have no conflict with the movie JL.

The Flash Casts Justice League Member Gypsy

The CW has cast former Sleepy Hollow actress Jessica Camacho as Gypsy, a member of the Justice League in the DC Comics Universe, on The Flash.

In addition to the Justice League, Gypsy has also been a member of the Birds of Prey in the DC Comics Universe.

Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco on The Flash, recently teased that Gypsy would be making her way to The Flash's Earth-1, and that Vibe would learn some new skills from her. Vibe and Gypsy share a history in the DC Comics Universe from serving on the Justice League together.

Plunder Debuts, the STAR Labs Museum Opens In Photos From The Flash: Borrowing Problems From the Future

In his fleeting appearance in the most recent teaser trailer, Plunder uses a high-tech rifle and steals...something...out of a glass case.

Morillo had been named as a villain Team Flash would face in the mid-season premiere. There was a clip released earlier this month by The CW which didn't make it look like he's going to be a major player in the episode -- more a one-off villain to be used as a plot device to drive a wedge between Barry and Wally.

The museum at STAR Labs, meanwhile, is the brainchild of the alternate Harry that's currently on Earth-1 working with Team Flash. It seems like it's a predecessor to the Flash Museum, something we've glimpsed on the show and is a staple of the comics the series is based on.

Black Flash Will Make His Presence Felt In The DC TV Universe In A Big Way This Year

Black_Flash.jpg

Based on comments from show-runner Andrew Kreisberg, that's not the only series the Grim Reaper of the DC TV Universe will make his presence felt in. Could it be that he's coming for the recently resurrected Reverse-Flash in Legends of Tomorrow?

"I will say that you might be seeing him on multiple shows," he teased at the Television Critics' Association's Winter Press Tour today. It was at the end of Season Two that we saw Earth-2's Hunter Zolomon/Zoom transformed into The Black Flash, but Teddy Sears may not be the one who plays him!

That's because the actor has landed a role on 24: Legacy, and it sounds like the DC TV Universe is going to need a lot of the villain. "He’s a classic character. We have storylines on multiple shows that fit having him around. There’s something so scary about him, something even scarier than when he was just the man, because now it’s now he is the Grim Reaper, he is the devil. How do you stop the devil? So it presents an interesting challenge for the heroes of the respective shows in which he appears."

Easily the best comic show on television, maybe of all time...followed closely by Legends which has upped their game since they dumped the big toothed wonder and her sidekick. Wish they would fix Wally's costume though, it seems at times he can't turn his head in the suit because of the stiff collar.

To make sure everyone tunes in, The CW has now released a new batch of photos from "Attack on Gorilla City," including the first two images of Solovar. Solovar — who is being voiced by Keith David (The Thing, Community) — is being depicted as a giant, white gorilla. That's a noticeable departure from his comic book counterpart, who looks like a regular gorilla but wears a fancy red cape.

Created by writer John Broome and artist Carmine Infantino, Solovar made his first appearance in The Flash #106 alongside Gorilla Grodd and Pied Piper.
