The Tales are just pretty. Has anyone else struggled with the fact that you’re paying more to CGC than you paid for the books?!? LOL I guess that’s a good thing, and I did buy them a while back. One of probably my top 5 favorite ECs. In my opinion, a perfect grade for my collection. Presents so well and affordable. But to tell the truth, it’s real hard to look at the grade. The book it’s self just grabs my attention with the great suspense, composition and colors! A Top 5 EC for me too, it has everything going for it. This issue used to be a sleeper (as compared to some of the other classic/gruesome EC covers), but no more - the sleeper has awakened! The 65c version pretty much has to be from EC, not DC; although I've never seen a definitive statement on which printings came from which publisher. We love seeing pretty much any EC's here; so welcome to the thread! I noticed your avatar; we would love to see the entire Cobweb House cover over in the Comics, Pulps, and Paperbacks thread; it's become the general paperback thread in the golden age forums. I really like this one and the story that went with it. It is one of those issues printed badly with weak cyan. But the technical grade was OK, a little tough to get and a bit under what these are bringing these days. The auctions ended late last night. I set bids on most of them and felt they were fairly decent bids. Alas, I didn’t win any. 😢 But I’m in no rush. Someday!!
