WOW, I'm shocked it went so high especially since it is a mounted copy and ONLY a front cover.

Some of these are a few years old but for comparison.....

Cap1 front cover only = $5000 in late 2015

Archie 1 full cover = $3000 in late 2014

AS8 front cover only = $4000 in late 2016

Batman 1 front cover only = $3000 in late 2014

Batman back cover only (trimmed) = $3700 in late 2015

Sensation 1 front cover only = $3600 in mid 2016

I bought my Superman front cover for $5500 2 to 3 years ago.

I got my Superman back cover last October by trading about $13,000 worth of comics.

What a great deal on your Superman #1 cover.

YES! And it's not a rag! it's actually quite nice.  It was listed on ebay in an auction for $12k if I remember right.  It cycled thru as an auction about 3 or 4 times and no one was jumping at it.  I contacted him and asked if he'd take $5k for it and he said if I would come up to $5500 he'd sell it to me.  It's gorgeous.

The unrestored 7.5 Cap 1 coming up for auction with CC  looks to be an old label (salivating)  Any hammer guesses on that bad boy ?  400-500k out of bounds ?

That would be absolute nuts if it even sniffed half a mil

What is nuts today maybe cheap just a year from now.  So many books are moving so fast I just don't know when it will stop or if it will crash

Big book for WWComics

Don't think I've ever seen a 6-figure book listed on their site.

Very surprised it bumped from a 3.5 to a 4.0. I would think it would go 3.5 to 3.0 with that chew defect. Looks nice otherwise.

Well Ben,

When I originally bought this particular book back in 2001 from a local

comic book dealer here in Miami, he had the book priced as fair and back

then we used the overstreet price guide...so I got a pretty good deal and

to think that this book is now a 4.0 and selling for so much is mind numbing.

There also have a Batman #1 that was posted for sale recently as well.

surprised that comicconnect would preview a 5.5 cap 1 while they have the 7.5 ending in 1 week or so.  What's the rush in previewing the 5.5?  If I was the 7.5 cosignor I would tell them to take the 5.5 to prevent any distraction.   Close enough in grade and eye appeal to have an effect
