"Grayson" looks to be a hit so a bump for Tec 38?

I'm sure a lot of the high end spenders/collectors/dealers know about his history as a seller.  Reputation is practically ruined. Very similar to what Danny Dupcack did.

You could say that. :)

Looks like the raw copy from a few pages back, that went to a PGX holder, than lost it's centerfold and found it's was to a Voldy holder......

Now that you mention that I think you may be right !

Tec 38 5.5 listed at Hakes is close to 10K/point with 3 hours to go. :o

Forgot about this auction. It’s made massive gains since I last looked. Interested to see where it hammers. Thanks Peter

WOW indeed !  Thx for keeping it front and center

Yes, looks like it was able to come along and beat out this 'Tec 38 that sold through CC in the March of 2017 by a few thousand dollars:

Now, that one there was a double WOWZA!!!  :whatthe:  :whatthe:

Well, maybe old Bob will give it a bigger than usual bump in his price guide this year with these record setting sales that took place last year.

I am still waiting for him to put Cap 3 ahead of Cap 2 in terms of valuation.  :taptaptap:   I guess he did make a "bold move" in last year's guide by bumping up the bottom 4 grade condition levels for Cap 3 up to the same values as Cap 2.  :whatthe:

I guess we have less than a week now to see what he is going to do in term's of this year's price guide.  hm

Cap 3 > Cap 2.  Cover. Story. Stan the Man.

I can remember -- because it wasn't all that long ago! -- when a lot of collectors looked down on Tec 38 because of what was seen as a dopey cover.  Robin breaking through a paper circle like a clown in a circus? Yuck!

Safe to say the days when that opinion prevailed are gone! :)

Still plenty of collectors imo that don't like Robin and for that reason won't go after Tec 38. Detective 38 has seen price tick because it is after all a GA mega key and fortunately deserves the recognition.
