Here we are, 4 and a half years later and issue #20 is out today. This book has something for everyone. For the people who still read comics, the story is an engrossing tale. Although it does have the now common post-apocalyptic theme, it isn’t typical in any other way. The environment itself is as deadly as anything else the primary characters encounter. They isn’t to say there aren’t great adversaries along the way, there are, but they share equal billing with their surroundings.

Seeing how Aquaman has been handled on the big screen, there is potential for this book to be successfully transferred to a format other than just print.

Lastly, for the cover collectors, these display nicely. The art has a unique quality to it and the colors are gorgeous. A little over the top and it reminds me of the old magazines covers from the ‘80s like Heavy Metal. Pretty, raw, and they make you want to see what’s inside. The great thin is, the inside looks like the cover. A rarity for someone with this kind of talent.

I’d highly recommend checking it out as back issues are ridiculously inexpensive. 👍
