We're here lol... amazing book. Wish I had one.

I'll share my books from nycc. happy with the grades save for the 9.4 Domino

Interestingly enough I was able to get CGC to recognize the Gen13 # 1 newsstand since it's a price variant

Awesome collection! I'm super envious of your 9.8 Batman/Danger Girl. Good for you.

There's no fans, only resellers. :nyah:

Too bad all those resellers have nobody to sell JSC material at twice the price to.

thanks! that batman danger girl is so hard to get in high grade on account of a color breaking spine crease on the left, in the fold of batman's Cape. every copy I come across has it.

ASM800's from SDCC came back, a little Christmas present to me, from me.  :roflmao:

I think time has dulled the sting of the "CGC Tax", and the grades don't hurt either (four 9.6's and five 9.8's).  I'm not as bothered by the 9.6's as some other collectors might be simply because I was expecting 9.4's because the issue was so thick that the cover stock was so poor on a lot of the regular copies found on store shelves.  Still, these are likely the last (and only) JSC books I'll buy signed and subbed to CGC.  That said, I do love his MJ and Gwen.  Say what you will about how his female faces all look the same, these two particular covers capture the differences between the two main loves in Peter's life so well.  MJ the fashionable and playful one.  Gwen always the more book warmish one.

A press would definitely help it. Hard to say for sure without seeing the graders notes for imperfections.

That is what I was told as well.

See I don’t agree with this cgc grading policy. To me a defect is a defect I don’t care where it came from the grade should be reflective of the book itself. Anyway nice books and I like that ms marvel cover.

Same....mine arrived on the 24th.  7x 9.8 (including the two Batman 50 versions) and 5x 9.6.  They all went to CCS for a press.  Never again will I buy s/s at his booth for grading.

The thing is I really only wanted the MJ and Gwen's signed.  I was hoping to get the others raw/unsigned.  But then I was told that all books were pre-signed and I hate getting books signed but not yellow labeled.  So due to being very precise about how I like books presented, I ended up subbing all 9 books.  All in all, the experience left me soured on buying s/s at his booth, much like yourself.

I find this really interesting, but just from reading the last few posts (didn't get a chance to really read if anything was posted earlier), what exactly was the turnoff / drawbacks from doing the S/S at the booth?  Going forward, how do you plan on collecting these exclusives?
