My cat walked on the keyboard!  That is the ONLY explanation for this.

Maybe... just maybe if it was only one bidder that high. Still two at $700.  Just doh!

And another high dollar sale in the DC Universe Logo tonight. This seller originally had it listed

Tonight they ended it and relisted it after I assume some one had previously offered what they priced and shows as sold tonight. $120020200704_005352.jpg.876dbba3f67fd4c259e0898cd6fac028.jpg

Although this one makes a little more sense as at least a CGC 9.8 and a very tough black bordered book. I know the Adventures of Superman 521 there have not been many of those found which is why I did expect it to get some premium , but with it being raw and maybe upper mid grade really did not expect that $710+shipping.  This Action Comics in 9.8 I was not as surprised but still definitely deserved to be shared here as I am sure if even back in 2014 when this topic was started I am sure almost everyone here would have laughed if anyone had said any of these DC Universe Logo  would have sold for over $500 much less over $1000..

Hey, it's only money... you can't take it with you after all.  Oh wait... you can't take comics with you either!  lol

That's shocking for a 2nd print especially.  I don't think any fan could ever have predicted something like that back in the '90s.  Collectors will be on the lookout now, no doubt.  There might be some scarce Batman later prints from the Knightfall storyline as well.

Ok well seeing that some of these have obviously reached unattainable price numbers as there is no way I could or would justify spending that kind of money even on some of the "rarer" issues , coupled with the fact I will probably not see another one. Here is one I have been quietly looking for as it has not been on the comprehensive list until now

Superman Man of Steel 3920200628_045850.jpg.a27679277d30c86bcac38d6024ba4b78.jpg

We have seen very few previously undiscovered DCU variants pop up in the last two years.   So this Superman MOS 39 is a rare discovery indeed.  Now the DCU Variant of SM MOS 39 is on my want list, and to give some idea of value I would gladly pay $200 to get a copy.   If anyone else finds one, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Even though it is rare, it shows that some new ones could still show up.  A few examples of DCU variants that could exist but have not yet been seen are as follows:  Batman 513, 525, 528, 536, 537, Detective 692, 693, Adv of Superman 523, 530,533, 534, 541, and Action Comics 711, 716, 717, 719, 721, 727, 728, Superman MOS 49, 51, 54, 55, 56, 61, 62, 63 and Superman (1987 series) 95, 107, 110, 111, 112.

Found this video on YouTube tonight, and it's from a gentleman showing recent comics he bought.  This video is from May 31st 2019.

The DCU part begins at 3:31 in the video.  He found some DCU variants, all from Dec 1994.  Including several that are not on the comprehensive list, and two rare ones.  The Batman #513 that was just found earlier today by onlyweaknesskryptonite, and a rare Guy Gardner: Warrior #26

Here are some screen shots

The last three, Looney Tunes #9, Catwoman #16, and Legionnaires #20 are not on the comprehensive list as far as I know.

This just seems to indicate that there may have been a December 1994 pack that just has not been found .  I do know that this pack has been found to contain some of the DC Universe Logo books inside of of them although none from Dec 1994. Still another way these were distributed. 20200715_211317.jpg.84eb397d77e8573774ca4ffa2e8b1eed.jpg20200715_211354.jpg.9d78c2396913774b8a956d693874aac0.jpg

I have seen copies of DC Universe, DC bullet, and/or Zero-Hour UPC variants for every single month from Nov 1993 thru Dec 1996 except Dec 1995.  Examples from December 1995 include Adv of Superman 530, Batman 525, Detective 692, Action Comics 716, Superman Man of Steel 51, Justice League America 106, and Superman 107.  If someone could produce an example of a December 1995, I would love to see it.  It is odd to me that they would not produce any variants for that month.
