OMG! Now I know there is an Action Comics #705 DCU! I wish I didn’t... I’m not really interested in going past #700 on my Action CGC run, but 705 is a great cover.

Yeah that ones been on the list. I have been after 705 myself,  but when it hit nosebleed prices I had to drop out.

Funny thing is the 2 New ones (Superboy 10 and Justice League 94) are both December 1994.  Which is also the case for almost all of these most recent discoveries.  Man of Steel  39, Batman 513 , Guy Gardner 26, Legionaries 20, Catwoman 16, Looney Tunes 9 . The only new one recently discovered that was not from December 1994 was the Impulse Annual 1 from 1996..hm

and to think right before all these you can see I asked if there was ever a 20 pack from December 1994. Turns out no, but BAM a bunch of 2 packs and some singles pop up..

Dang it... now there's a another one on my want list.  If someone comes across a JL 94 DC Universe variant and wants to sell, I would gladly pay $200 in VF better.   I'm also still missing Superman 113 & 117 as well as Superman Man of Steel 39.

Haha.. Rabbit Hole.. besides I am not after all of them across the board, mainly just Superman ( although I do just keep picking them up when I find them).  Which still is a TON of them. Here are some more packs that have some superman DC Universe in them..20180402_014625.thumb.jpg.2dd8bcaacd4adfa8b9795ad4ac8340a0.jpg20180402_014634.thumb.jpg.7b80d61ada6079054c3600238814753b.jpg20180402_014657.thumb.jpg.ce7679e9bd5e7ddbaa2a77fc2db2a25b.jpg20180402_014706.thumb.jpg.71109f1d8c59a8010d22e63a1842b2ef.jpg

and then these which it has been a while since I have done another group shot ( will have to dig these all out at some point and update, sort, and get new pictures ) I know I have added a LOT more. 20191002_005648.thumb.jpg.ac44a7fd7d62b7695d4c41d1f8d28c40.jpg20190605_020314.thumb.jpg.eb7ca5def5cc18f41d0bcf6f163fe5e6.jpg20190605_003537.thumb.jpg.82bd2933b2cf8c2f708b908e7d1f8b7d.jpg20190605_003353.thumb.jpg.68c4153e86400126c718769f2a9ef764.jpg20200729_085336.thumb.jpg.d5e16687e5e235894c99f1e86c368971.jpg

Pretty sure this post explains why so many of these are difficult to find.

I'm glad you pointed this difference out.  I've bought one each of these packs now but the first one I picked up had the 3rd print and was missing the wrapper... every pack I have seen since then has had the 4th printing and I was starting to suspect that my first pack had been opened by someone to switch out the 4th for the 3rd print.  Mystery solved!

I wanted to run a theory by the group.  We know that most of the DCUs came from 20-packs, 10-packs, 2-packs, Best of '94/'95 and Superman/Batman/Robin/Green Lantern/Flash Collector Sets.  Recently, I have been asking some eBay sellers if they were the original owners and if so, do they remember how they got the book.  I asked one seller about the "secret origin" of the Detective #690 DCU that he had for sale.  Verbatim: " Any idea where this Detective Comics #690 came from?"  This was included in 12 comic straight run/lot of Detective from #681-#692.  All the other comics had the direct sales barcode.

His response was "I can tell you I subscribed to Detective Comics, so that's where they came from."

Does anyone think that by late 1995, DC was sometimes sending DC Universe copies out to direct mail subscribers?  Maybe this could account for some low print run/hard-to-find issues?

I can confirm. I was 7 years old and got Batman and Robin Adventure subscribed. I still have the #1 in that series, preserved in exactly the way a 7 year old would (horrendously). It is a DC Logo variant. When I find it I will attach. i have been trying to figure out just how rare it is lately.

Fantastic! FYI, that Batman coloring book has very early Harley Quinn pages.

Thank you. I remember there was something about it, but at the time was just excited to find this collection all in really good shape still sealed.
