Are the other issues in the Terminal Velocity pack marked the same way in the indicia?

Very nice.  Which of these two DC Universe variants has the same front and back covers as the direct sales (1st printing) Flash 96?

Flash #96 non-DCU direct has the Stridex back cover like the 1st print DCU.

My Flash #100 DCU deluxe is not a 2nd print and has an NBA Jam back cover. It'd be interesting to see if @LikeEmScanned's DCU newsie is a 1st or 2nd print.

There are two versions to Flash 96, the "regular" DCU edition and an actual second printing.  The "regular" DCU is from 1994.  The second printing is from 1996 (based on the advertisements -- the indicia shows 1994 like the original does).

The front covers are identical (the first printing is on the left and the second printing is on the right):

The back covers have different ads (again, the first printing is on the left and the second printing is on the right):

The inside front cover of the first printing:

The inside front cover of the second printing (note that it does say second printing in very bottom right corner):

I would love to hear form another other DCU collectors like you, LikeEmScanned, Warlord, Revat, etc about which ones say "2nd print" in the indicia.   Now I'm going through my inventory of all DCUs (hundreds of them, to see which have 2nd printing on them).  I will report back on this forum.

I'll have to start checking this weekend and see what I can find.

So far I've got Steel 4, Batman 529, TEC 695 and 696 with 2nd print in indicia.   The Batman 529, TEC 695 and 696 all came from Contagion sets.   All the comic books that came in those 2 Contagion box sets had "second printing" in the indicia.   More to follow....

I've checked about 50 different issues so far.  I found Steel #4, same as Kirk did, and then also found Showcase '94 #5 with second print listed in the indicia.

I've noticed that some of them actually state that they are "collectors pack 1st prints" such as this GL 36

what does this GL 36 look like on the front cover?   Does it have a little roman numeral II and DCU symbol in UPC box?

Following are photos of Batman 529, TEC 695 and 696 with 2nd print in indicia as well as the boxed Contagion sets that those comic books came from.

Every comic book from those Contagion boxed sets had "second printing" in the indicia, similar to the Batman and TEC comics shown above.

Note that I also found a copy of the 2nd printing of TEC 696 from a 3-pack, and it also had "second printing" in the indicia, identical to the copy that came from the Contagion boxed sets above

This weekend I checked over 250 DCUs, some boxed sets, 2-packs,  and 20-packs.   More findings from that to follow.

Just checked the Flash 100 "newsie" DCU.  No 2nd print in the indica.  Also, the typical NBA Jam ad is on the back.

BTW, I was checking eBay sold listings for Flash 100 earlier this year and saw that another Flash #100 newsie DCU had sold.  It wasn't even listed as a DCU or variant.  Someone got a great deal on a BIN.  So there are at least 2 copies out there.

Seeing that post again, I shouldn't have called it a newsie, it is actually the non-deluxe DCU. But thanks for checking. Bummed that I missed the other #100!

so should I update the list with the newly found 2nd prints?  Also, can we confirm those newly found 2nd prints also have 1st print DCU's?  or are we still in the process?

awesome work you guys!

for your reference, the current most updated list is on Page 40.

I think we are still in the process. Once a few of us with deeper collections go through their books to see what we have then we may have an idea. I have been too slammed to really dig into mine.

It does seem that 2nd print indicias are the exception rather than the rule, but we also don't yet know if there are 1st prints of any of those DCUs either...

Still in process.... it appears as if most of the ones I've seen with "second printing" and DC Universe in the UPC box do not have "first printing" DCU variants.   I have much more info coming soon!

Are you thinking they’re high or low? These don’t seem too far off what non-variants would get in 9.8. I’m not seeing much of a premium.
