My 18 "value" comics submitted 10/12 are now in "graded" status.

6 of them are being listed as "File copies".  How does CGC know they are file copies?  Was there a stamp on them somewhere?  I didn't know they were file copies.

I never understood that either. I wonder (besides how they knew they were file copies) if being a file copy adds something to the value?

I don't think a File copy designation adds any financial value but it may help with a sale. Similar to a CVA sticker type of concept , says this book looks good !

But how can they just arbitrarily know they are file copies?  I actually think most of the copies I submitted were file copies, but I don't have a way to prove it myself, so how do they know?  Was there a stamp on the splash page that I missed?

45 Pre-screen Modern ST  Received 9/7    Quality control  10/12

4 FT Moderns Received CCS 9/7.  Received CGC  10/12

1 Value FT Received 9/18.   Still Verified 10/12

24 Modern ST Received 9/18.  Still Verified 10/12

Update on this?  I'm trying to estimate Value FT turn-around times.

The last shipment I sent in was received by CGC on March 5th 2020 and it took 62 BUSINESS days before it made it from CCS to CGC.

Thanks. Yes, that's just over 12 weeks, similar to my last one. Shoulda paid for the fast track!
