Yeah - if you look at some of those Schomburg war covers just imagine what he could do today! The Torch burning up a guy with a diaper on his head or namor pulverizing a retarded looking Saddam or something. That comic book company that published anything like that today would probably be put out of business by all the lawsuits from the various offended parties.

.......any book published before the days of 'political correctness' is bound to spring up something now considered unpublishable...................

.......or more likely subject of a libel case.......... blush.gif

.........which i don't think is a neccessarily good thing......... frown.gif

The derogatory terms for minorities and ethnic groups would be out.....

But in their place are books like The Pro, Preacher etc., which would have likely caused Wertham to have a seizure. grin.gif

Cool...15 year old thread.  Aside from all the obvious racist stuff you couldn't get away with anymore... I think we're a bit too PC and overly sensitive to allow something like this.  What with all the anti-bullying, preserve self esteem at all costs, etc. etc., I imagine some group would protest/picket the corporate headquarters of whoever published something like this.  From First Love Illustrated #3:
