I swung by to write some prose,but that clown has scared me off....

Looks like their could be a "joker" beneath the clowns mask. :o

 

I have a book in mind to put to verse

but my energies spent and I might do worse

so I will watch some NCAA

and see if any new insights come my way.

The clown is near

With smudged blood and flesh

Beneath painted tear

Charnal stench wafts

Off the tattered clothes

There is no flesh

Beneath red rubber nose

Oil and powder

make up

Mingle in

With dirt from the tomb

Rubbed right in

Fetid breath

with laughs

So foul

Broken pointed teeth

Rot in the scowl

He's come above

For party favours

Fresh children's ripe

Ripped stripped cries

For all the neighbours

Way to go Porcupine! Now i don't feel so funny as a guy with a Bugs Bunny sig line rattling off scary poems, as the guy with the Felix the Cat sig line can throw down too! :D

lollol Puppets, clowns, these things seem as scary(or scarier) as ax murderers and zombies.

Mere leagues above the planets fiery core

Stirred a legend; ere was thought to exist no more

Deeply entrenched in lava's lair

His minions toiled under furnaces glare

 

Eons passed and mountains wept

But still the prisoners the dungeons kept

Raking the coals and hammering with sledges

keep up the pace, dour denizen's of the trenches

 

Then a maelstrom swept the placid earth

waking Lucifer from forlorn scorched hearth

Rose the demon through miles of rock, as volcanic eruptions grew

He reached the surface, direly intent on what he could subdue

 

Ignoring nearby cities crumbling and grim

The demon spotted Dr Styx, and lumbered ominously towards him

"Hey" bellowed the man of fire, "is keeping peace up here such a chore"?

"My gang below cannot concentrate, due to the din of world-wide war."

Nice One, Sir Tun,

 

He hath found treasure in books of old,

PCH and the age of gold.

He refines his nuggets into a mix,

And brings us the devil and Dr Styx.

 

Thanks gents this was a pleasure

To pore through the book; and find some treasure

and turn a skeletal thought of mine

into something worthy of being put to rhyme.
