Supersam?

This one is news to me. A Jerry Siegel written comic strip with a Superman cameo for an armed forces publication during WWII? Never heard of it. Anyone know about this?:

I'm not interested in buying it, but I'd sure love to know more about what it is.

This item is up for auction again - on August 16th. https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/39387690_superman-original-inking-by-jerry-siegel-and-ben-bryan I won't comment on the provenance of it - the text certainly sounds like Siegel (the strip is similar in theme to Siegel's "Super G.I." published in Midpacifican from late 1944 to mid-1945) - but the supposed picture of Siegel with Ben Bryan looks nothing at all like Siegel. There are many published photos of Siegel during his military service and he is quite heavy in all of them, whereas the guy in the photo is pretty thin and otherwise seems to bear little resemblance to Siegel. I know that Michael T. Gilbert said this was a photo of Siegel in an Alter Ego article a few years back, but I think he was relying on Bryan's representation.
