So, I was wondering. What are the most expensive variants out there?

The most expensive variant ever sold is Danger Girl #2 Ruby Red. Limited to 400 copies, a 9.8 sold for $5,000 in 2010.

 

It has since sold for cheaper, but it holds the record for a blue label (and probably yellow label) variant.

 

The most expensive "variant" would probably be Marvel Comics #1, Oct. (which isn't really a variant.).

The twenty fifth anniversary TMNT #1 2009 error variant. It's believed that there are less than 100 in existence

Not most valuable, but the Batman Grendel silver moon variant #1 is pretty rare. I've had 2, but there haven't been that many to surface. I think the most I got for one was around $400 if I remember correctly.

Miracleman Italian Omnibus... It collects the Moore run... Only 100 made... Not the most expensive... However, it is very rare. There is a second more elusive omnibus as well (red) that collects the Gaiman run... Also limited to 100 copies... I've never come across one for sale though and have only seen very poor photographs confirming its existence...
