Grade doesn’t matter to me when I am buying as long as the main imagery is clear, but when I am looking at high grades, they are thrilling! They look as if he was doing not much more than layouts but what really kills them for me are the stories, which i assume were mostly Stan Lee synopses. The plots are very formulaic, simple and aimed towards younger readers, whereas the GA books had longer, meatier stories with a bit more realism, or at least B-movie realism.
