How is season 2 going so far? I was planning on binge watching it over the Christmas break.

I have the same plan. Especially now that a few shows I watch are on a break.

I watched the first three episodes. This is a much darker story than when this was under the MTV brand. I like it so far. Wil is still one of the chief characters in the storyline. But they have expanded this out with more villains and potential heroes.

Manu Bennett keeps his role interesting, and Ivana Baquero (Eretria) is always fun to watch in action.

It still feels like a lower rung Game of Thrones. Almost like a SYFY Channel film with more money that usual. But more entertaining than Season 1.

Up to Episode 5, and I feel this is well worth watching. Not only to fill the void of Game of Thrones missing from TV right now, but also because it stands on its own as a story. Though yes, it does feel like a slightly low-bar version of a fantasy story.

That theme is perfect for this show.
