The Private Eye is a Baker cover? I would have never guessed. I much prefer the Thrilling Crime L.B. Cole motorcycle cover. Great score either way!

Not the Private Eye.  Record Book of Famous Police Cases...

I don't see anything in that Private Eye cover that looks like anything Baker ever drew.

Record Book of Famous Police Cases

It was part of a package deal...so, as a price per item, under $5

I just got the chance to actually read this one..... and the lead story is quite gritty. If you like crime comics from a reader's standpoint, this one is worth seeking out.... even though it's technically a romance comic.  GOD BLESS...

Little sister made me post this. And, as you can see, better do what she says...

This whole run is mighty cool …. my pal Dave had many of his Crime comics photographed for the Photo Journal, he had tons of them …. one of the more scarce of all the genres. He owns an LCS that's been around since the late 70's and when I asked him why crime comics ?, he said they were cheap, cool, and nobody else wanted them. GOD BLESS....

Complete Book of True Crime is a great book. I got it way back when I was on my "annual" kick.

I mentioned before that it is actually a Lev Gleason publication featuring issues 22 and 24 of CDNP.

This may be the 2nd pre-Code comic I ever read. Violent slapping, bullets and blood:
