A Dream Come True...

It has been maybe what I would categorize as a slow art year, but this helps make up for it. When the previous owner, who had purchased the piece 25 years ago from Charles Vess, posted it, I knew I had to go after it. I have seen so few of these pop up over the 10 years I've been collecting, I feel very lucky to have one.

It certainly made it interesting that the seller was not aware of the value of the page before he posted it, and the ensuing interest bowled him over!! lol

I picked up the page today and it is stunning. The line work does not necessarily come across in the scan - in person it's even better. Morpheus, Shakespeare, and even a bit of Titania - I couldn't honestly ask for anything more. A Sandman collecting goal - achieved!
