Hi there i just started collecting and thought why not go official by joining the most credited well i got this comic

 

Comic i payed for it and was excited to have this work of art then i got home safely put it away safely the next day i was lookin over it careful and found a large piece flightof clear tape does this devalue my comic alpha flight

Welcome to comic collecting! I'm sure you will find a lot of enjoyment in this hobby we all love. To answer your question, yes tape on a comic will devalue it greatly. At least you have a nice reading copy. Now go hunt down a CGC 9.6 copy of X-men 120 (first appearance of Alpha Flight) to really get your collection started off on the right foot! ?
