1000 comics in 2016 book club

You think more people would participate if it was called "Read 1 or more comics in 2017."? Yeah probably not. But maybe.

 

Right now I'm reading The Eternaut. This is back in print!

 

Here's what I read.

Prophet 21-45, Prophet Strikefiles 1, 2, Prophet Earth War 1-6

Transmetropolitan 8 Another Cold Morning

 

Green Lantern Emerald Dawn 1 1-6 and Emerald Dawn 2 1-6

Green Lantern 2nd series 1990 1-8, 14-17

Green Lantern Mosaic 1-18

 

Injection 1-10

James Bond 1-12

Trees 1-8 Will probably read 9-14 soon.

For a total of 1668 comics read in 2016

 

Sorry to see that every year fewer and fewer people participate, or at least make it through to the end...I remember 5-6 years ago there were dozens of boardies having a go at it and chronicling what they were reading. Is the age of the reader truly over and have all made the step to "collector only" ?

Another year added to your streak.

 

While I overdid it in 2015 (3000+ as per my tracking), I did read a substantial amount in 2016 again (with a heavy tilt to Manga again this past year; my final read for 2016 will have been Orange - the Complete Series Volume 2 I finished tonight) but did not track. I guess close to 1,000 though.

 

My wife bought me a journal for next year, I'll try to track again in 2017. Readers do continue to exist

Great to hear...and I wouldn't call mine a streak, more an illness, but then again even I was never that crazy to read 3000 comics in one year.

And as you can see, I'm becoming more and more lazy...at this rate I'll be lucky to reach 1500 comics in 2017
