Didn't even know what Wein's sig looked like. I'd crack open a few slabs for that & Trimpe's for sure. Did you get it already signed or have it signed at a convo?

Check that, would have cracked open. Forgot they both recently passed away.

Purchased this one already signed.  Wein has such a neat, tidy signature and I liked the placement on this one (thumbsu

Just pre-ordered 2 new CGC Signature Series covers from Lucio Parrillo for Venom #161. I got both the regular cover and the virgin cover.

I Just absolutely love Parrillo's work. I'm about to pay to have a commission done by Parrillo, but I can't make up my mind in regards to just what character I want to do. He already has so many amazing covers for Red Sonja, Vampirella and Dejah Thoris, but any of those would be amazing. I was also thinking of doing a character I haven't seem him do yet like Fathom/Aspen Mathews or Danger Girl (all 3). Just can't make up my mind. Regardless, I now have 3 beautiful CGC Signature Series covers on the way from Parrillo.

Recently got this bad boy framed. It's always cool when I discover something I didn't know existed.

Neal Adams version of John Byrne's Doomsday +1 for Charlton circa 1976. :cloud9:

Added a couple nice books to my Michael Turner collection. I got a PGX Signature copy of Civil War #7 (9.9) and I got a copy of "A Tribute to Michael Turner" signed by like 22 artists including J. Scott Campbell, Oliver Nome (R.I.P.), EBAS, etc.

Hi OrangeCrush!  Some nice books you have there!  But just a friendly heads up, you might want to block out the label of the competition.  Sometimes feathers can be ruffled around here if posting books that have been certified by other companies.  Just my 2c.  Anyhow, nice books and WTTB!

I am super thrilled to have grabbed this one. I wasn't expecting to grab another book so soon after my recent purchases, but I have been looking for this one in 9.0

It's still a prize for me :cloud9:

I was thinking to myself right when I opened the box "AH HA!! This is what a heroin addict feels like when the needle comes out!"

I was thinking of posting this heads up but was unsure whether or not the chat boards had changed the rules. Heck I'd love to post my non CGC slabs without cropping!

Woowhoo! HUGE congrats JF!  :banana::headbang:(worship)

When did this land? I need backstory! Inquiring minds, y'know :baiting:

This should be posted in the most tenuously, marginally related places as well as all the proper ones!

February 23-24: Warren, MI at the Macomb Community College!
This is a GREAT show that I have attended for years.  It is a top 3 show in the state of Michigan and while certainly not as big as Motor City, it has more of an "old school" feel with a higher percentage of Comic Vendors.  This will be my first time selling at it, and I know @catrick339 and @Nick's Comics will both also be setup there too.  I have done a lot of business with both guys over the years so please check out their booths as well, great books, great prices, and slightly above average Hawaiian shirts (catrick only).
Jim Steranko, Arvell Jones, Keith Pollard and many more comic book and pop culture creators and celebrities will be in attendance.
@Rich_Henn will be onsite as well for signatures.
There are deals to be had at this show, hope some boardies can attend.
