  • I would like to issue a formal apology to myself for allowing myself to inflict this thread on myself

I'm a Black Widow fan, and this is her first appearance as the Black Widow I know(her early appearances in TOS were horrible). Plus, this is one of my favorite Romita covers and ASM is my favorite title, not to mention that perfectly centered copies of this issue in grade don't come around that often and always command a premium when they do. Plently of reasons for me to pay silly money for duplicates. grin.gif

I passed on the Metro one because some of the Bostons are 9.2s not 9.4s but the page quality on all of them is beautiful, so I'm sure you got a sweet book.

Page quality and, at least in my (limited) experience, cover color. Inks just jumped off the cover of the Boston Caps I had. cloud9.gif

100 Bullets #10 courtesy of Crisco. I mentioned I was missing it in another thread and Chirs mailed me one of his extras -- no charge. Major props to Chris. thumbsup2.gif

thumbsup2.gif That is a sweet cover, and it seems to fall in the Avengers 93 category as far as finding one well centered.

I enjoyed that whole story arc, and would love to own a OA page of the Black Panther breaking the Red Skulls jaw.

I'm missing a few issues but I should get them shortly. That Avengers run sure did have some cool covers.

What did Ted grade that TOS #48???

Eric

He gave it an 8.5. I wouldn't grade it quite that high but it's a nice book.

Nice book. Where did you get it?

I don't remember seeing it anywhere.

And another. cloud9.gifcloud9.gif

There were a few others plus three nice early Avengers (which I will post one of them in the pedigree thread).

Wow, I guess so. I need all of those frustrated.gif

Here are a couple of others that arrived this week. I wish I knew how to properly scan/manipulate these Harvey's to do them justice. The color is remarkable.

True. Thanks to Rip, I just got my hands on a tough book that I've been looking for for some time.

To true about the networking, as Ariach found out I was in the hunt for some more Swampy # 1, and instead of getting one off him, I took both he had to part with, as he accepted my offer.

Just arrived tuesday from Heritage... #91 is damn hard to find and under valued. #85 was just a good deal. There would be more, but a chunk of money just went out for a commissioned repro of the #91 cover.

February 23-24: Warren, MI at the Macomb Community College!
This is a GREAT show that I have attended for years.  It is a top 3 show in the state of Michigan and while certainly not as big as Motor City, it has more of an "old school" feel with a higher percentage of Comic Vendors.  This will be my first time selling at it, and I know @catrick339 and @Nick's Comics will both also be setup there too.  I have done a lot of business with both guys over the years so please check out their booths as well, great books, great prices, and slightly above average Hawaiian shirts (catrick only).
Jim Steranko, Arvell Jones, Keith Pollard and many more comic book and pop culture creators and celebrities will be in attendance.
@Rich_Henn will be onsite as well for signatures.
There are deals to be had at this show, hope some boardies can attend.
