A comic era has ended

I'm very sad to announce that my long time friend, and Mobile Alabama's longest tenured comic dealer and collector, Steve Barrington passed away this morning.

 

Steve and I first became friends back in 1983 when we were setup at Coast Con in Biloxi Mississippi.

 

He was truly one of the nicest, and most knowledgeable comic collectors and historians I've ever known.

 

A true fixture in the hobby and a true gentleman

He will be sadly missed by all of my geek brethren

I am/was here in Mobile Al to meet with Steve today (when I talked to him yesterday he sounded as good as he had in months) and when he didn't show up this morning we got concerned. Finally got ahold of his niece and she relayed the bad news
